Knowledgeable, fair and a pleasure to work with!,
I met BJ at a rally and was very impressed by his knowledge and passion for his specialty. I hired him to repack my bearings and check my brakes. He found major issues due to poor work by a previous tech. He sent me pictures and explained exactly where the previous mistakes were made, resulting in brake failure. In just a few hours he replaced the brakes and had everything working again. I was expecting a big bill, but BJ's efficiency and knowledge, along with his very fair rates, far exceeded my expectations.

DeeMaxx Disc Brakes with Wandering Bear RV
BJ Israel of Wandering Bear RV replaced the drum brakes on our Brinkley Z3610 with DeeMaxx disc brakes. He did a great job installing them and took the time to answer all questions! Best part? Wandering Bear is mobile and could come to us. Highly recommend contacting him for an install. We took it for a test after installation, and it worked beautifully. Thank you Wandering Bear & DeeMaxx!

Deep expertise in disc brake install for Brinkley 5th wheel
Some of you may have been following our challenges with our brake issues over the past few months on our new 2025 Z2680. While Brinkley has been very supportive of getting us back on the road, given that we are full time RVers that move every 3-4 days, we ultimately made the decision to move forward with disc brakes for the long-term solution. During our challenges, we had been in touch with Wandering Bear RV (BJ) to get his insight. He was extremely knowledgeable of the Brinkley systems and a very willing collaborator in problem solving. We met BJ near Orlando where he did a complete DeeMaxx disc brake install. He was very thorough in not only the disc installation but also the hydraulic lines, the wiring changes, and the test drive. It took 6-7 hours and that included teaching me the proper way to do a bearing repack/replacement. I would highly recommend reaching out to him if you are thinking about this upgrade. We love our Brinkley, but finding RV Techs like BJ to help keeping it in top shape is very important (and I think Brinkley is changing the RV industry by embracing these key RV Techs). All the best....Michel

Upgrade to Roadmaster comfort ride suspension and X-Factor crossmembers
I had BJ (Wandering Bear RV) upgrade me CRE3000 suspension on my 2025 Grand Design Solitude 376RD to the Roadmaster comfort ride and X-Factor Crossmembers on Nov. 14, 2025 after finding cracks in my CRE3000 suspension. BJ is without a doubt the best RV mechanic I know. He has also installed hub savers on this rig and my prior Grand Design Imagine 2670MK. I recommend Wandering Bear RV for anything having to do with your axles, suspension, brakes or bearing repacks. He does excellent work, has attention to detail and will explain everything to you, so you understand what he is doing and why.

Installed CRE-3000 upgrade at Rally
BJ at Wandering Bear RV installed the CRE-3000 shackle upgrade and repack of all wheel bearings on our GD Transcend at a rally we’re at this weekend! He was very professional, easy to communicate with, taking the time to discuss the work being done. He worked with our schedule and did a great job. His attention to detail was exceptional. Cleaned everything up and even put our RV back down level when he was finished. We highly recommend him for this kind of work!
