About
When I was a young girl growing up in the Spokane, WA area, I was lucky enough to spend a lot of time camping and fishing with my Dad. We would take a tent, sleeping bags, a 12' aluminum boat, a cooler, our fishing poles and tackle boxes. We didn't take much food and pretty much relied on our catch of the day to be our meals. We always had plenty for while we were there and some to take home. The memories created became the foundation for my love of camping and being outdoors.
As a young adult I remember taking my son on his first camping experience when he was three. We started with a little one-man tent, no sleeping bags just a pile of blankets and our pillows. What a glorious time we had!! You wouldn't think I'd say that considering we live in the Inland Pacific Northwest and get snow in the mountains sometimes into June. Well, we woke up our first morning to 10" of snow in May...I know, who'da thunk it, right!! The day was sunny and beautiful so we decided not to pull up stakes and go home. We continued to tent camp for several years then bought our first travel trailer when my daughter was about three. It was 1950's era and only about 12' long, but we though we were royalty! Boy did we create a lot of memories; memories that we still laugh about to this day! Our next upgrade was to an early 1970's truck camper. Every chance we had we were on the road heading to a National Forrest or the Pacific Coast.
Fast forward to 2015 when my husband and I became gold miners. We upgraded to a toy hAUler and started traveling the Western United States in search of that illusive shinney. Our son and daughter now have travel trailers of their own. We don't all live in the same town anymore, but we still love to meet places and camp together. As a parent it is so satisfying when your adult children ask if we can all hook up and meet up somewhere we went when we were all young. Now we have all new memories that include our 8, yes count them EIGHT grandchildren.
After retiring from 28 years as a Commercial Insurance Agent and 9 years in public service I was ready for a change of scenery that fit more with the heavy RV lifestyle that we enjoy. While researching how to make a repair on our hAUler we discovered the National RV Training Academy (NRVTA). We were highly impressed with them and their program so we went to Texas to check them out in person. I received my training through the NRVTA and became a Certified RV Inspector through the NRVIA and a Registered RV Technician through the NRVTAA.
Whether buying new or used. Whether building your RV/outdoor foundation or adding to it. After you find the RV that fits your lifestyle, I would be honored to inspect it for you! I look forward to helping people learn about and enjoy their RV and the RV lifestyle.
