Working on RVs requires me to be a jack-of-all-trades, and after 16 years in law enforcement, 2 years in trade school learning technical electronics, and 10 years running my own home automation and networking business, I think I’ve earned that feather!
I attended the National RV Training Academy in 2022. I graduated as both a Certified RV Inspector and Registered RV Technician with additional training in RV Solar installations.

As a long-time RVer myself, I empathize with the phrase, “The only thing that works on an RV … is the owner.” I purchased my first RV in 2010, and I’ve been tinkering and troubleshooting ever since.

Very thorough inspection. Professional, informative.
Even though we were buying a brand new RV we felt it was important to have an independent inspection completed. We now have peace of mind that major components have been inspected and are in working order. We were able to observe the inspection, thanks to Paul and his team for taking the time to explain and answer all of our concerns. Highly recommended.

Contact Paul regarding an RV inspection at a Ohio RV dealership, as I live out of state. I informed him that a member of the dealership informed me they didn’t usually allow inspections. At which point I informed dealership I wouldn’t purchase RV without inspection. Paul made contact with dealership and scheduled the inspection. Three days later, received noticed the Paul was beginning his inspection. Within 12 hours, I received inspection report. Being a new trailer, I didn’t expect to many issues & that couldn’t of been farther from the truth. Paul sent pictures of a critical issue with RV. As I went thru report, pictures & videos were attached to each issue with RV. I was shocked, to see water pouring out of underbelly of RV. Paul provided pictures of RV roof and interior. I’m pretty sure inspection report was longer than my homeowners inspection. Paul also forwarded report to dealership salesperson and shop manager. It has been a very smooth, easy going experience
I must admit that as a first time buying through an RV Dealership through someone else being my eyes and ears has been stressful. Reading my report, I learned a lot more about inspecting an RV. Paul Schmidt and his Team had the dealership connect the trailer as it would be at a campground. They checked Propane system, water and drainage systems. The found small things that can be repaired quickly and one that may take some time. I learned a lot more of what to look for should I be buying close to home in 10 more years and I will probably request Paul or someone closer to the dealership to add as another set of eyes. Excellent Job inspecting my new fifth wheel!
I was not present for the inspection at the dealership, But after viewing the inspection report that contained videos and pictures I feel like I was there. Paul and his crew from Trusted RV Solutions found several items that need addressed before I take possession of my brand new RV. Absolutely Amazing Experience!
On our first trip with our new rig, we were bound to experience some troubles along the way, and we did. We had a hydraulic line rupture as we set up for our first night. After getting in contact with Paul through RV Help, he was immediately assisting me through the process and steps for what it would take to get the job done. Paul and his team showed up at our location at 10:30pm (amazing!) to assess the situation and start the repair. While juggling numerous other appointments, Paul guided me on how and where to get the parts needed (this helped speed the repair process along) for the repair. By 530pm the next day, everyone returned and fixed our 5th Wheel hydraulic system. When this breakdown happened, we thought we might lose days of our vacation...it was ONLY a one day delay! My wife and son we so happy and excited it was fixed so quickly. Paul and his team were unbelievably amazing, friendly and they even taught me a few tips and tricks about my new rig! I highly recommend Paul and his team! Thank you so much, I appreciate everything you did so much! We ARE coming to the 2027 Grand Design Rally in Indiana, and I hope we manage to see you there!
