We hired Patrick to inspect our travel trailer that we purchased used. The trailer is 6 years old and wanted to make sure everything checked out before using. He came to our house to do the inspection and was extremely thorough. He was very easy to work with and knew all the answers to the questions we had. He is super knowledgeable and we would recommend him to anyone looking to have their RV checked out. We have had a few questions since the inspection and he always responds and provides helpful information. He also offers a service to those who are new to RV's where he will walk you through your RV and show you how everything works and how to set up for camping and pack up when leaving. We did not need that service as we have experience with RV's but he is amazing. One other thing, Patrick responds almost immediately when he is contacted. Email or phone, he will get back to you. Excellent customer service in a time where it is lacking. Patrick is the best!

I contacted RV Academy regarding the inspection of a 20 plus year old RV. Patrick was very up front about his concerns with an older RV. Because it was a fairly rare model made by a company that made a quality product he agreed to do an inspection. The owner had been agreeable to having an inspection but when I contacted her to make arrangements she was hesitant. She also mentioned a repair that needed to be done that was different from what she had advertised. I was concerned about this. I was not sure about going forward. Patrick made the decision to not do the inspection. He was concerned as well and did not want to have me spend money on an inspection in a situation with lots of red flags. I appreciate his honesty and integrity. This was the model of RV I had been looking at for a long time. I might have gone forward into a costly and time consuming mistake without his honest input. I reached out to Patrick to arrange a pre-purchase saftey inspection on a used travel trailer. After my own tour and visual inspection, I honestly thought the trailer was just right. I came home excited, confident, poised and ready to buy. Afterall, I thought, this is not my first trailer or RV. Certainly, I'm capable of making a big purchase decision right? So I immediately sought "reinforcement " by posting my "find" enthusiastically to my trusted group of experienced RVers. Suprise! They unimously told me to "Spend the "extra" money to get a pre purchase inspection by a licensed RV inspector." Humm, I hadn't considered that. So, after talking with the seller, we decided "for my peace of mind and saftey" I was willing to pay for a independent inspection by a certified RV professional. I found Patrick via a web search for certified rv inspectors in my area, and after reading his glowing reviews hired him. Patrick arrived promptly at the sellers location at 8 am this morning. After a 4 hour visual hands on inspection, Patrick meticulousy and comprehensively documented his findings. By 3 pm he had emailed me his findings and scheduled a very orderly followup phone consultation. Step by step he reviewed each detailed photo and video, noting the condition of every major component and system necessary for a safe, enjoyable RV experience. I had concrete information to make a informed decision. Unfortunately I can plainly see that this "cute trailer" is way, way more of a "fixer upper" than I can realistically handle on my own at my age and with my health. Sigh. This weekend, instead of making campground reservations, I'm going to pause and reflect on all I've learned so far about shopping for a used RV. Sadly I must tell the very kind and helpful seller I must pass. I'm not looking foward to that, but better to be dissapointed now than have buyers remorse or worse. The "cute trailer " needs a more experienced, hands on person than me. My takeaway is this: dont let your emotions guide your decision... new, used, no matter who the seller is, please do yourself a favor and DONT SKIP the inspection by a certified professional, licensed and insured RV inspector. Patrick is everything youd want in a "neutral " inspector and more. He's punctual. Extremely knowledgeable, professional, comprehensive and respectful to all parties and property in the "due diligence " step of this type of potential transaction. I would just like to start off by saying Patrick saved me a lot of money and frustration(and possibly my marriage). I called Patrick to do a pre-buy Inspection on a Monday. I had told him that I was supposed to sign the paperwork for the RV on Thursday. Patrick made time in his busy schedule to accommodate my inspection(on that Wednesday), knowing that I didn’t have much time. On the initial phone call Patrick put my mind on ease about his thorough inspection that he was going to perform. He updated me when he arrived at the site and sent me a picture. Later that day, he called me to go over everything that he had found. Turns out…. This RV had so many problems! Not only did it have an electrical code violation with no GFCI protector anywhere on the RV. The RV dealership said the owner had the electrical “Professionally Done”, And this was not the case. There was also a problem with the Refrigerator, which could overheat and catch fire. this RV was a complete hazard for my young family. The dealership had the RV inspected after my inspection, and realized they can no longer sell it on their lot due to its electrical issues. The dealership had to give it back to the original seller. I would just like to say thank you Patrick! If you are interested in buying an RV, he is worth the investment. Even after the fact, Patrick continues to Guide me in purchasing the right RV.

Patrick was very knowledgeable about every component of the RV. I would highly recommend his services. He taught my wife how to drive the RV in 2 hours. I tried for more than 2 years. I feel confident after his training. I knew nothing about how water heaters, and furnaces work. Knew nothing about plumbing and electrical. He covered all these items and much more. Very easy going and friendly as well.
