Welcome to Southpaw RV Inspections and Services, owned by Mike Chertude, a Certified National Recreational Vehicle Inspectors Association (NRVIA) Inspector. The NRVIA exhibits both a Standards of Practices and Code of Ethics set forth by the Association which is followed closely by Southpaw RV Inspections and Services. Mike is also a Registered RV Technician with the RVTAA. Mike Live’s in Southwest Washington and proudly serves both the Washington and Oregon areas. Mike has always had the dream to RV when he retired. One day Mike asked his wife Tami, “what happens if we retire, buy an RV and don’t like it, then what?” Well, we went out to an RV show and bought our 1^st travel trailer. We both fell in love with RV’ing as we traveled around the northwest. A couple years later, we went to another RV show and bought a 5^th wheel as we wanted to travel further distances with an RV that would meet our needs. Were there problems buying a new RV? Yes, and Mike had to start learning how to fix and maintain their RV. Would an inspection have minimized those problems? Absolutely!!! As an accountant by trade, Mike is very meticulous with all the details of maintaining their RV. Thus leading him to the National RV Training Academy (NRVTA) in Athens, Texas to learn more about RV’s, how to inspect for problems so he could then help others RV buyers avoid the pitfalls of purchasing an RV. Our goal is to assist others when they also want to buy an RV or just learn more about their RV that they bought.
