Let me introduce myself. I am Roy Thackery the owner of RD’s RV Services.
16 Years ago, I began my technician journey in aviation, working as an aircraft systems mechanic. Prior to that I grew up RVing, working on and maintaining the family’s RVs, starting out with a towable, moving up to a Class C and then on to a Class A for our cross-country trips. Camping has always been a part of my life. From driving and maintaining a Super C hauling racecars, to full timing it in our Class A Pusher.
Throughout our RV journey I have enjoyed learning, upgrading and fixing our rigs. This led me to attend the National RV Training Academy (NRVTA) and get my credentials as a Registered RV Technician and Certified RV Inspector. I am a member of the RV Technician Association of America (RVTAA) and National Recreational Vehicle Inspectors Association (NRVIA).

Roy saved us more then once!!!
Roy is a stand up guy who knows his stuff. During our stay in his area, our RV ac went out. We contacted Roy and he was there within a hour and had the AC up and running again within 2 hours. While we were leaving, one of our levelers came down and would not go back up. We called Roy again, from the side of the road, and he was there within a half hour. He had the tools needed to get the leveler back up and implemented a temporary fix that was able to get us home without it falling again. If that wasn't enough, about an hour into our drive home the RV had an engine failure and had us stuck on the side of I-75. Roy showed up again, diagnosed the problem which thankfully ended up being an easy fix, and had us on our way again. Fortunately we made it home without any additional issues. The ending of our vacation could have been a complete nightmare, but Roy not only responded quickly, but had solutions every step of the way. He could have easily taken us to the bank, however His pricing was fair every time. I don't know what we would have done without his help. We highly recommend him as our experience with him was above and beyond our expectations.

Very thorough
Roy came to Fort White to inspect a truck camper. He did it in less than a week. The report was very professional and thorough. Everything was super easy on our side. He also communicated with the seller professionally! We would definitely use him again when in the area.

Couldn’t be happier with the service Roy Thackery provided.
I can’t say enough good about this man Roy Thackery. He helped us out in a time of need providing repair to our black tank wash out check valve that had broken. We called him on Monday Memorial Day and he was out first thing in the morning Tuesday. Roy was able to track down the part that afternoon and reinstalled the part and we were back in business. This man’s promptness says a lot about his character and integrity, and I was very impressed with him. We are not local to Live Oak, but if we were, he would be my go to guy.
