Roadrunner RV repair offers mobile and onsite in Vandalia recreational vehicle repairs and maintenance. Phil received formal training from NRVTA to become a registered technician in 2025. Areas of focus during the training were air conditioning, furnace, water heaters, slide outs and landing gears. He can also "open or close" RV's for the season. Additionally. he can offer new RV owners a walk thru of their systems and some general hints and tips.
Before the formal training, he tinkered on his personal RVs for over 20yrs. Meanwhile, his day job was a quality manager at a green energy upstart company. Great service
Originally he came to assess the recall and take pictures to submit what needed to be done. He then told me he had everything needed to make all the recall repairs on him and asked if he could make the necessary repairs. About an hour and half later everything was complete

Be the Road Runner and run away from this guy
Called him for slide wiring and A/C not working. Fixed the slide. But, was totally confused why the A/C worked when directly wired,but not through the thermostat. Installed a new one, didn't work.. Bought a second one and still didn't work. We brought in another person. He saw right away that the thermostat had been wired incorrectly. Correctly wired it and A/C worked. 15 minute job. We let Mr. Walter's know and ask for a refund for time spent on the thermostat. No response. Get someone who knows what they are doing.

Richard, I apologize for the late response as I have been out of reach for the last 3 weeks and catching up on my text and emails now. I did not install the new thermostat. Working with you through text I said we need to check the wiring diagram for the thermostat. I probably should have said to send me the diagram. That would be my fault and I apologize for that as well. As far as reimbursement, I did give you discounts over $150 by not charging travel fees for two visits.

Slide Issue
Phil was very prompt in getting back to us. He was able to diagnose the problem with our slide. Very clear on what part was needed. When the part arrived he scheduled us quickly in my book. Installed the part and the slide is working again! Phil is was so knowledgeable and patient with all our questions. I soooo recommend his services. He’s in my contacts for any future issues.
