About
I am a Certified NRVIA RV Inspector with 12 years of inspection experience and an Aqua-Hot Factory-Trained Technician. Service areas in Montana include Billings, Butte, Great Falls, Missoula, Kalispell, and bordering regions. Other areas are available upon request. I inspect Class A, B, and C Motorhomes (gas or diesel), 5th Wheels, Pickup Truck Campers, and Travel Trailers. Fluid analysis of the engine oil, transmission fluid, engine coolant, generator engine oil, and generator engine coolant is integral to my inspections when requested. Your RV inspection report includes numerous photographs and write-ups on the condition of the various systems, including refrigeration, heating, cooling, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical units.
Nomad RV Inspections & Service conducts inspections for individuals, RV dealerships, warranty companies, insurance companies, and financial institutions. Walk-through and training on purchased units, new or used, are also available. We offer Fluid Analysis independent of inspections.

Inspection and education
Bert and Gwen performed an inspection on a 2016 Airstream FB22 that my wife and I were considering purchasing. They were very, very thorough with their inspection; which took 7 plus hours. Bert generated a 70+ page detailed report with photos of everything. No detail was too small and everything was documented. We bought the trailer a week later, then Bert and Gwen spent about three hours teaching us about our trailer and how to use everything (much needed for us as we are first time RV owners). He even helped me winterize it. I cannot say enough good things about our experience, I would highly recommend them if you need an inspection or education services. You will also end up meeting two of the nicest people you will likely ever come across in your travels. Thanks Bert & Gwen!

Money well spent
I was interested in a travel trailer I had found online. It was 15 hours away so I wanted it looked at. I found Bert on this site and sent him a text. He was very responsive. He agreed to go inspect it for me. He spent a day going over it and reached out to me the next day. Before the inspection was ready we spoke on the phone and told me the major findings. Then later that day he sent me the full pdf report. I ended up passing on the trailer. Working with Bert saved me time!money!and headaches. Highly recommended

Phenomenal Inspector Who Really Cares
I hired Berton in early September 2025 for a fifth wheel inspection that I was interested in purchasing, which was located in Northern Idaho. Though it was some distance from his home base, he traveled to the designated location and did a full inspection specifically the way I had asked. I told him in advance that I was not looking for a picture of every appliance in the rig, and I was not interested in the serial number and model number of all of the equipment in the rig and that I was more interested in a functional inspection to make sure that everything worked and to identify the things that needed to be addressed since this fifth wheel happened to be a 2018 model. Not only did Berton do a truly fantastic inspection, but he has stayed in touch with me for over a month after the inspection to provide his guidance and answer questions and help me with registration and all kinds of other things. He really cares about his customers and goes above and beyond, and I recommend him highly. There are a lot of people in this industry who take advantage or who claim to perform services that they don’t really know how to, but that does not apply in this case. Berton truly knows what he is speaking about and gives excellent advice and makes excellent suggestions and he has helped me tremendously in making the right decisions, especially as a newbie to being an RV owner.

Top-notch Inspector with excellent attention to detail!
Bert was absolutely incredible to work with. We were traveling to Montana to purchase our RV and there wasn’t a local RV inspector we could hire; Bert traveled nearly 250 miles to complete our inspection before we arrived. He found a few minor and a couple major issues we were not expecting, allowing us to get a mechanic’s opinion before we proceeded with the purchase as well. We ultimately went through with the purchase but were able to negotiate the price based on Bert’s findings and expected repairs/maintenance that needed to be performed. He provided great peace of mind, and we could not have been happier with his inspection. He also took multiple calls from us after the inspection and discussed various things with my husband at length to help us understand various factors and tried to help us trouble shoot some issues. Would hire him again in a heartbeat!

Peace of Mind
I got mixed opinions from folks on whether to hire an inspector or not. I was determined to have an inspection, regardless, just as I would for a home or used car purchase. I found Bert served the area I was in, was pleased with his reviews, and felt totally confident in hiring him. His inspection and report were extremely thorough giving me the confidence to go ahead and make the purchase of my RV and have that peace of mind about my decision. He was also happy to answer any questions I had before and after. Two thumbs up!
