Having a wonderful childhood in a small town with great family values, and parents owning a small business, I was brought up learning the electrical, mechanical and plumbing industry at an early age. Later owning a successful general contracting business and acquiring my own licensees in the trades, kept me in the ever-changing building code knowledge of the trades. Changing careers after 20 years in the back breaking physical challenges in construction, I took a turn to the building inspection trade. I acquired a Professional Real Estate Inspector’s License with TREC and owned a successful home inspection business. Also acquiring my TREC teacher’s certificate to teach the TREC Inspectors classes. Not slowing down in this adventure, I also started as a City of Austin Texas building inspector. With my ambition and knowledge, I became the Chief Residential Building Inspector for the COA. After 40 years of experience in the industry I extended my certifications by attending the National RV Technical Academy (NRVTA) and achieving the RV Technician certification, then started My Mobile RV Tech company. My wife and I married in 1983 and are now retired. We started traveling and living on the road as much as possible since 2018. We enjoy the RV lifestyle and have helped many RV travelers along the way with their issues.
