Hello there! I am Erik Boucher residing in Portland, Maine, with my son Eliot, and our tabby cat Nova, on a year-round basis. Our constant desire and passion for outdoor adventure has been rooted in Maine landscapes, and really began to flourish 5 years ago when I bought my first RV. Back then I never would have imagined that passion would lead me to serve my community in the RV industry.
A few years ago I wanted to share my love of camping with other people by renting out my RV as a side gig, delivering it to different campgrounds, and setting it up with everything needed for a perfect family vacation. In the first year I quickly learned that I needed to set aside a couple of weeks in the summer to use the RV for myself or else it would get booked up the whole time. Then in 2024 after going through my third corporate layoff I decided to pursue what I was really passionate about and started GiddyUp RV LLC.
After a couple years of managing my own RV I wanted to help other people, who owned RVs that sat idle in their driveway 50 weeks of the year, turn them into passive income earning assets. Now we're managing a fleet of RV rentals and creating family vacations at Maine Campgrounds for a lot more people.
The story doesn't end there. Anyone who owns an RV knows they can break down - a lot - and it can really ruin a vacation. I realized that the best way to keep a fleet of RVs rolling smoothly was to do all the repairs and maintenance myself. So in 2024, I hauled my RV down to Athens, TX, for 5 weeks to attend the NRVTA school and became a certified RV Technician. As a mobile RV Tech I'm helping people wherever they're at and solving their problems while they're still on vacation.
As a licensed Propane and Natural Gas Technician by the state of Maine, I can legally install or repair any propane appliance (i.e. furnace, hot water heater, refrigerator, stove, range), detect gas leaks, and replace gas lines and regulators on your RV.
I am fully insured for liability.

False alarm
Contacted Giddyup to ask about repair of a bent black tank rod. I had contacted two other local repair services with no luck prior to Giddyup. Eric answered within 24 hrs, and made a plan to come to our site the next day. My husband in checking the area, realized we have brake issues that were a recall problem, and decided black tank repair would be more easily done at the dealership while fixing the brakes. Eric was understanding of the reasoning behind canceling our appointment, and offered to be available if anything else came up.

Electrical
We had no electricity nor did our refrigerator work. We called and within 2 hours Erik arrived. It ended up being a rookie move on our part and Erik was able to resolve within minutes. Rather than leave he stayed and inspected others areas; air conditioning and the camper roof. He found and plugged a few small puncture holes he found. He was a real stand up guy.

Above and beyond.
Eric was amazing to work with overall. After a major engine issue stalled our arrival, Eric kept in communication with us and was sympathetic to our issues. He was able to come out to the campground in a timely manner to look at our fridge

Auto leveling not working
My auto leveling on my travel trailer wasn’t working properly. I couldn’t get it to reset. I contacted Eric and he went out of his way to fit me into his schedule the next morning. He replied quickly on a Sunday evening. I was really stressed out as I was selling the rig and meeting the buyer the next day. I highly recommend Eric for RV services.

Replace my Tank
I was in search of a tech that could replace a leaking gray tank. This would have been new for Erik, but he was very willing to tackle the job and learn what was needed to accomplish the task. Unfortunately we couldn't get a gray tank delivered during our time in the area, so Erik was not able to do the job. Erik was quick to respond to my email for help. We had several communications back and forth. He was honest with me and willing to take on and learn something new to accomplish the job. I want to thank Erik for his willingness to take on this new job and I appreciate the research he did prepping for the job and the assistance in helping track down a tank. If I have a need in the future and we are in the area, I would give Erik a call.
