Air condition repair fail

I contacted Jim two weeks before our arrival to service the air conditioner on our motorhome, as we were going to be in the area for four days. He suggested it might be a simple repair and would diagnose first. When he arrived, he didn’t have a tall enough ladder and assumed we had one on our coach (we did not), so he had to return to his shop. After checking the compressor, he said the capacitor was sealed and admitted he didn’t know how to access it. He told me he’d do some research and get back to me. The next day I had to text him for an update, and his response was: “I am sorry but as of now I’m not going to be able to get into that. Still trying to find an answer. I don’t want to just tinker with it to try and figure it out.” While he is certified, it did not seem like he had much hands-on experience. In the end, no work was completed, yet I was still charged the $80 service fee. I feel the fee should have been refunded since no value was provided. Overall, a very disappointing experience.

The owner/operator showed up for an emergency furnace repair immediately and saved my wife and infant from freezing during the only snow of the season! Great price and quick service. Thank you!
