Our Story

Hello, we are Michael and Mike McGruder, a Veteran owned husband and wife team who, between the two of us, have served our great nation for over 35 years.  Our military adventures have allowed us to travel around the world admiring beautiful landscapes, engaging within the diversity of life, and being able to witness the many miracles around us.  Our experiences have indwelled us with intentionality to make every moment count with the time gifted to us and to live a life of impact towards every person we encounter.

Recreational Vehicle living was always an interest to our family.  We’d imagine traveling to far off destinations meeting new people.  At the time we began the journey, four of our six kids were now adults and were geographically dispersed to college and work in different parts of Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana.  Our last two kids continued with us.  Our last child and only daughter, gave us the greatest opportunity to develop our wings and soar in our desire for people.  A’Mirakle, our daughter, is diagnosed with Down Syndrome, she taught us about the beauty of people and encouraged us to want to know and do more.  Also, having to contend with the aspect of military life that allows us to move every two to three years, we decided to embark on the RV journey full time.   Oh, what a blessing that turned out to be. 

As a mobile family with collegiate athlete sons, we quickly appreciated and enjoyed the flexibility in traveling to attend sporting games.  Moving from Oklahoma to Texas with the army was easier.  We soon realized the joy and benefit of having less and experiencing more.  Our family bond strengthened as we became full-time RV’ers and got out to who and what was around us.

Duty-Honor-Country RV Inspection and Services LLC (DHC-RVIS) was created out of our experiences with our mobile units.  We jumped into the RV, and life was full of good, bad, and often costly lessons.  We pride ourselves in believing that we have been allowed to go through our journey to help others experience theirs without having some of the trials, pitfalls, and costly repairs we have experienced.

Just as the values we grew up in the military, we believe in the words Army Gen. MacArthur reverently used Duty, Honor, and Country to mean “what you out to be, what you can be, what you will be.”  “They are your rallying points to build courage when courage seems to fail, to regain faith when there seems to be little cause for faith, to create hope when hope becomes forlorn.”

Here at DHC RV Inspection and Services, we have a Duty to the customers to build faith and confidence in their investment.  We take Honor and pride in providing them with professional, fact-based inspections and services.  We want to give our customers the peace of mind to build everlasting memories traveling around our great and beautiful Country.

• Registered RV Inspector (NRVIA)
• Graduate of National RV Training Academy (NRVTA)
• Protected by Errors & Omissions/General Liability Insurance
• Adheres to all of NRVIA’s Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics
• Follows RVTAA’s Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics
