Cranky Yankee Mobile RV Repair was founded in 2023 to provide the highest level of certified services to RV Owners, with a focus on quality and safety. We endeavor to foster a safe, respectful and accepting relationship with all customers from all backgrounds. Cranky Yankee RV travels up to 75 miles from Berlin NH. We provide maintenance and repair service for your RV appliances - A/C, water heater, furnace, stove, refrigerator - trailer tires, wheels & hubs, as well as slideouts and general repairs. As an owner of multiple types of RVs, and active camper myself for over 30 years, including full-timing, I have a unique perspective and experience to assist other owners.

General overhaul of our Oliver Elite 1 RV trailer
We could not have hoped for a better experience. Tim was a pleasure to work with. He is knowledgeable, thorough, diligent and thoughtful. He knows his stuff and follows through. Since we are planning to sell our Oliver, we wanted someone to go over the trailer and make sure everything is in good working condition. Tim had some excellent suggestions which we followed up on. We give him excellent recommendation.

Brakes and Bearings
While traveling, Tim was recommended by our Escapees RV Club. We were only to be in the area for a week, so we connected well in advance to secure the correct parts and have them shipped. It took the two of them 6 hours to replace 4 hubs and brake plates on our 10 year old Montana. While doing the work they found a bad tire and suggested an excellent tire shop that could get an exact replacement quickly. They also researched an issue with our older Morryde suspension and followed up with recommendations.

Highly recommend!
Tim, aka the Cranky Yankee, went above and beyond with this service call. He responded quickly to my service request to replace the damaged plug on my camper. Unbeknownst to me it had fallen out of the truck receptacle and had been dragged many miles and was destroyed. After further discussion and me sharing pictures, we decided that he would replace the truck receptacle. My truck is a 2012 Tundra and living in coastal Maine it has some rust and had lost a vital part in the hitch connection. Tim researched the parts that were needed, kept me informed about the costs and timeframe of when he would visit. This of course was a Friday afternoon. I’d left the camper at the campground and we made plans to meet there once the Toyota part arrived the next week. Due to his continued research, he found the part at a much more reasonable cost and there would be no shipping delay. Next morning he arrived on time and went to work. He was excellent to work with, and was happy to answer my questions about the camper. I’m new to trailer camping and had questions about electrical and propane. I learned a lot! He’s great at providing education. I’m extremely satisfied with the services provided and highly recommend.

Best RV Technician I’ve ever worked with!
I contacted Tim to install a suburban heater core in a 2024 Travel Trailer. I had an issue for over a year, where my furnace wouldn’t properly ignite/function as designed. I worked with 2 other companies to assist. Both made “repairs” and charged me hundreds for replacement parts while never actually resolving the issue. I can’t recommend Tim enough. He responded immediately and genuinely cared. He explained exactly what he was doing along the way and he meticulously worked through the entire process. Tim was methodical and professional throughout the entire job. He was prepared with all tools, parts and materials on his work truck and completed the entire core replacement in one appointment. When it was done, he took the time to cycle-test multiple times. He then took the time to perform propane pressure (safety) testing and explained the process in detail. He made sure everything was spotless, the re-wiring was performed better than the factory installation. He even helped me to understand my original warranty and how to contact the 3rd party vendor. Tim knows what he’s doing. He is patient and takes time to get the job done right. If you’re having issues with your RV and are lucky enough to be near him….do yourself a favor and call him first!
