John is a Certified RV Tech as well as a Certified RV Inspector. He has also worked at the NRVTA as a Technical Assistant for seven months helping teach in the classroom. In 2022 he worked as a technician at the Alliance Rally. John is a veteran of the USMC and travels full time with his wife and two dogs in a 2022 Alliance Valor 40V13. He loves the RV life and his true passion is helping others whether with a pre-purchase inspection or repairs on the road.

Inspection
I used John for a prepurchase inspection. He was very responsive and always "kept me in the loop". He identified not only minor problems but some more significant ones that allowed me to negotiate better. I was buying for out of town, so his report provided great peace of mind. Definitely recommend him.

Fast knowledgeable response, with a great attitude
I'm having a couple issues with my Class A and was provided a comprehensive phone consultation from the most knowledgeable RV tech I've met. The heavy chassis work and AC repair which is required are items John preferred to refer out. He made several useful suggestions and referred me to multiple resources. Worth the money!
John is very personable and knowledgeable. He explained things to me in layman terms so it was easy to understand. Met him at the fifth wheel and within 45 minutes found that the rig needed the roof replaced. I highly recommend him and getting an inspection on new and used RV's.

Highly Recommend Byker Dog RV
John of Byker Dog RV Repair went above and beyond when he helped us with plumbing issues. Our kitchen faucet was leaking from the handle, our city water tank was overflowing into our fresh water tank, AND the water pump was cycling constantly. It was one of those “everything that can go wrong went wrong” situations. But John stuck with us. I swear he drove over the entire state of South Dakota to find us a faucet that would work in our small space! We were so happy to find someone so dedicated and thorough. I highly recommend Byker Dog RV Repair!
