Bubblehead RV Mobile Maintenance and Repair
About
How does one become an RV Technician at 55 years old? Great Question! My technical background started long ago back in my High School days! Growing up in the land of “Friday Night Lights” in Dallas, TX – you basically did two things… Played football and worked on cars! I played HS Football and worked at a Full-Service Gas Station as a State Inspector and Auto Mechanic. We handled most everything from oil changes to brakes and everything in between. After graduation – I decided to join the Navy and continued my technical training into the electrical and electronics fields. I started my career as an Electrician but shifted gears to submarines as a Sonar Technician. Finishing up a 25-year career in the Navy – I turned my efforts to recruiting and helping other veterans find meaningful employment after their time in the military. During my time in the new recruiting career, my wife and I decided to take our show on the road and launched into the RV travel world! While exploring new places – we quickly learned that our RV was a “Rolling Earthquake” and began developing issues. Everywhere we traveled – we encountered others that were experiencing the same or similar issues as us. Attempting to tackle these issues using my mechanical, electrical and electronic background – I found out that these RVs are not as easy to repair without specific technical training. So, I decided to pursue advancing my education in the RV industry and became a Nationally Certified RV technician. I have experience with RV AC Units (including Easy and Soft Starts), RV Awning Motor / Fabric removal and installation, RV Furnaces, Water Heaters, Hydraulic Leveling Systems, Solar, Brakes and Wheel Bearings. In addition to troubleshooting and repairing multiple areas of RVs, I have also enjoyed training and teaching others about their own RV. This includes everything from the very basics of hooking up an RV for the first time to the in depth preventative maintenance that is required to keep your various systems working normally and at their peak performance.
