I began this business (ARKAM RV Services) after retiring from the pre-hospital healthcare field. I spent 42 years in EMS, with 27 of those as a Paramedic. After completing my MBA, it made perfect sense to start my own business and begin my entrepreneurial dreams. So, I decided to take my career in a vastly different direction and trained to become a Certified Advanced RV Technician and Certified Advanced RV inspector (my attention to detail and critical thinking skills developed over the past 42 years enables me to think outside of the box in this field). We are insured and bonded. We specialize in Emergency Roadside and Campsite services, such as manually retracting to extending jacks and slide outs to get you on the road or started on your vacation. We also perform minor electrical repairs, refrigeration repairs, AC repairs, minor plumbing repairs, water heater repairs and furnace repairs, along with black and gray tank cleaning. We also perform Inspections for your RV prior to purchasing or selling, so you can be confident of what you are getting and what issues may be waiting for you to discover. Our comprehensive inspections provide you with an unbiased third party review of your unit to enable you to make those purchasing or selling decisions. Just because you might be purchasing a new RV, don't become complacent and think you are getting a quality RV, as many come from the factory with defects already present. We have found that RV manufacturers do not do a great job of ensuring the quality of the RVs they are producing and many dealerships, generally, do not look out for you, they are trying to make a sell. Private sellers do not always keep great records of repairs and services performed to their RV and they are looking to get rid of the RV, so they may not be as honest with you as they should. An inspection is always good for the seller to have performed on their RV, so they can make decisions to be as forthright as possible to any future buyers. An inspection by a Certified Advanced RV Inspector is the best thing you can do prior to buying or selling a RV. We realize dealerships or private sellers do not always provide you with a thorough walk through and orientation of your new or new to you RV, Thus, we perform walk-throughs and PDI (pre-delivery inspections) to help you learn about your RV. We come to you to help you get back on the road to get home or continue your vacation. We are honest, professional, courteous and treat you with respect. We strive to complete every service call and repairs within 72 hours, however the majority are between 24 to 48 hours from the time of your call, sometimes same day service is able to be completed. Please realize some jobs may take longer to schedule but, we will communicate the timeframe and keep your scheduled appointments. We will be in communication with you every step of the way.
