Shawn Sanford

I was brought up in a family that wanted to help others. My Mother was an RN and my Father was a firefighter. It was in our DNA. Two of my brothers and I also became firefighters. I was hired as a professional firefighter in 1988 and was promoted to Lieutenant in 2001. I retired in 2021. I also started my own construction company in 1988. I enjoyed working with people to help them realize their dream of owning a home or setting up shop in their business. I sold my business in 2013. After looking at all kinds of toy haulers I became an RV owner in 2019 and wanted to travel when I retired. So in 2021 I took off with my trusted yellow lab and toured the country for 6 months. I love the RV lifestyle. I meet people daily and enjoy having conversations about their travels and adventures while sharing my own story. I have fixed and upgraded my RV since I have owned it. I have learned from experience and the NRVTA. I have helped people build their dreams and on some days I have helped them on the worst day of their lives.
