Chris Ochoa

Chris and Mona, the owners of Ochoa Wheelhouse RV, have extensive experience in the RV lifestyle spanning over 35 years. Their parents were among the early RV enthusiasts who traveled across the country in some of the first Winnebago models. They have owned pop-ups, travel trailers, and currently own a Class A 30’ motor home. Mona has over a decade of experience as a mail carrier, while Chris is a retired telecom executive with 43 years of management, customer service, and optical networking experience.

Having been incredibly blessed from the GOOD LORD ABOVE and fortunate to live in this great country, giving some of my life to the Marine Corps, as we started to look to end one career another one came into view.

Upon retirement, they decided to share their knowledge of the RV lifestyle by helping others. They attended the National Recreational Training Academy in Athens, Texas, completing a seven-week course to become Certified RV Technicians, along with additional training in generator and solar systems. In 2021, Chris worked at a nationally recognized dealership to further develop his skills and knowledge of various RV types.

Dissatisfied with the work ethic of larger RV shops, they established Ochoa’s Wheelhouse RV in early 2022, aiming to provide high-quality repair and installation services. Their expertise covers all aspects of RVs, including water heaters, furnaces, refrigerators, propane systems, DC (battery) power plants, AC (shore) power systems, air conditioning, water storage, holding tanks, plumbing, roofs, and slide room systems. They are licensed and insured in Texas, serving the East Texas RV community.
